Mayflower Connection to Richard Warren

Today has been a great day in research (as always is when you’ve got a FUN project)…
I’ve finally found it – the Mayflower Connection! Yes, that means my son, through his father’s DEAN family, is descended from Richard Warren, passenger on the Mayflower.

Noah Dean is my son’s 5th Great grandfather. Now, let’s go from here.

Noah Dean, was born 31 Jan 1790 in Taunton, Bristol Co., Massachusetts and died abt 1821. He married:
ROXELLANA HAMMOND HASKELL, was born 8 April 1788 – Rochester, Massachusetts and died June 21, 1821 in Vevay, Indiana

Captain Job Haskell was born 1751 and died Dec 1835, both in Rochester, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts. He married:
ELIZABETH HAMMOND, was born 18 Jan 1752 and died 15 Dec 1805, both in Rochester, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts.

Antipas Hammond was born 16 Jul 1704 and died 29 Mar 1773, both in Rochester, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts. He married:
ABIGAIL SWIFT was born 26 Jul 1715 in Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Mass and died Jan 1796 in Rochester, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts.

Jirah Swift was born abt 1664 in Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts and died April 1749 in New Bedford, Bristol Co., Massachusetts. He married:
ABIGAIL GIBBS
was born abt 1677 in Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts and died abt 1740 in Wareham, Plymouth Co., Massachusetts.

Thomas Gibbs was born 23 Mar 1646 and died 7 Jan 1732, both in Sandwich, Barnstable Co., Massachusetts. He married:
ALICE WARREN was born 2 Aug 1656 in Plymouth Co., Massachusetts.

NANTHANIEL WARREN was born abt 1624 and died abt 1668 both in Plymouth Co., Massachusetts. He married Sarah Walker who died 10 Nov 1700 in Plymouth Co., Massachusetts

RICHARD WARREN was born in 1579 in England and traveled on the Mayflower in 1620.

And there you have it!! How exciting is this! Now off to research more and more about these families, because with Mayflower descendants there are just books and books of information already written.

  1. Looks like we are very distantly related. I’m trying to prove the Mayflower ancestry also. I had heard that the Hammond line could be tied to Richard Warren. Now I’ll mess with your mind…I think it can also be lined to Howland, and the Tilley’s (3). Thanks for the info. I’m descended from Benjamin Hammond and Lydia Haskell (son of Antipas Hammond).
